Lapel pin: Royal Australian Navy [mini]
The official crest of the Royal Australian Navy began its life in August 1949 when an early version was designed for the Hobart Cenotaph. This version included the Tudor (Kings) Crown and a left-handed rope surround with a knotted section at its base. With several changes and small refinements over the years, we have come to the current badge which has been in use since 2002.
Although small in size, this lapel pin features a full-colour depiction of the RAN badge. It is finished in enamel and gold-tone metal and features a push pin at the back.
Materials: Metal, enamel.
Care instructions: Wipe clean with a dry cloth.
Dimensions: 2.3 cm (h) x 1.4 cm (w) x 1.0 cm (d) / 5 grams.
