- If you have an existing customer account, click on the Log-in button and enter your details.
- When you are ready to lodge your order, click on the Checkout button.
- Complete your delivery and billing details.
- Click Continue to shipping button to select delivery options.
- Click Continue to payment and enter details. Note: You can enter gift card or discount codes at this step.
- Review your order details.
- Click Pay now to finalise the transaction and lodge your order.
- Once lodged, you will receive a confirmation email from The Memorial Shop, including an order number for your reference.

The Australian War Memorial is home to a unique collection of photographs, artworks, film footage and sound recordings from Australia’s military history. Many of these images and recordings are available for personal or commercial use.

SHOP ORDERS
The Memorial Shop has recently migrated to a new and improved online shopping environment.
All new and existing customers will need to register for a new account on The Memorial Shop website.
Account registration:
To create a new customer account:

- Enter your full name, email address and create a password.

IMAGE, FILM & SOUND ORDERS
Orders for image, film and sound material are not handled on this platform currently. Orders are to be lodged through the Australian War Memorial website directly.
Customers will need to register a new account or log-in to their existing account (which will not be linked to The Memorial Shop customer account) on the Memorial website separately.

Members of the Australian War Memorial Friends of the Memorial will receive a 10% discount on shop items and collection reproduction sales (images, film and sound).
Note: This discount is intended for use by individuals and families for personal and non-commercial use of collection reproduction sales and shop items.

REPRODUCTION COLLECTION MATERIAL - IMAGES, FILM & SOUND
By paying User Fees to the Memorial for the display or commercial use of material from the Memorial’s National Collection, you agree to be bound by formal Conditions of Use. You will receive a formal Conditions of Use document for your purchase on delivery of your order.
Collection Material purchased for personal use must not be used for commercial application without the Memorial’s knowledge and permission.
PRICES & DESCRIPTIONS
All prices are in Australian Dollars (AUD). While we make every effort to publish the correct price, all prices are subject to change without notice. While we take all reasonable care to ensure that the details and descriptions appearing in the Online Shop are correct, product information is subject to change without notice.
The Memorial reserves the right to cancel an order at any time.
The Memorial's published prices for domestic sales are inclusive of GST. We do not advertise an international price exclusive of GST. For overseas deliveries, goods are offered at the published price.
PAYMENT
You must complete payment before your order is processed unless you are an approved credit account customer.
Payment methods:
Payment can be made by PayPal, Visa, MasterCard, or cheque. (Cheques from outside Australia will not be accepted.) Cheques must be in Australian Dollars and made payable to The Australian War Memorial. Your cheque must clear before we can begin processing your order.
PayPal:
The Memorial does not access or see your PayPal account shipping details. Your order will be shipped to the address that you enter or select during the checkout process. Please ensure all details are correct.
Overseas customers:
International cheques or bank drafts will NOT be accepted and your order will not be processed. Credit card or PayPal are preferred forms of payment. Alternatively, payment can be made directly into our bank account. (You must pay all bank fees and charges.) Please contact the Memorial Shop team for details.
INTERNATIONAL ORDERS:
Customs clearances can add to delivery times and are beyond the Memorial's control. Any fees, tariffs, or duties associated with international delivery are the responsibility of the customer.

SHOP ORDERS
The standard order processing time frame for Memorial Shop orders is five (5) business days from order lodgement/payment. Please allow additional time for delivery via the postal network (see “Shipping & Delivery” section below for further details).
IMAGE, FILM & SOUND ORDERS
The standard order processing timeframe for image, film and sound orders is thirty (30) business days from order lodgement/payment. This allows sufficient time for our production team to produce your order, which may include negative retrieval, conservation and/or digitisation work that may be required. The Memorial Shop team will contact you directly if further delays are anticipated.
During busy periods (e.g. the lead-up to Anzac Day, Remembrance Day) your order may take longer to process – we appreciate your patience and understanding.
Note: Our order processing times apply to all collection reproduction orders, including images delivered by download.
URGENT ORDERS
If your request is time-sensitive/urgent please contact the Memorial Shop team before placing your order. Availability of stock or digital assets (for image, film and sound orders) will need to be reviewed and rush fees may apply.

SHIPPING
Shipping providers:
All Memorial Shop orders, for domestic and international delivery, are dispatched via Australia Post.
In the event that your order requires specialist delivery (e.g. via a courier) the Memorial Shop team will contact you directly to discuss this.
Fees & charges:
The Memorial Shop does not offer flat-rate shipping.
Shipping fees and charges will vary and are dependent on the following factors:
- weight and size of products (including packaging);
- destination;
- delivery method (e.g. standard or express post).
Fees and charges are automatically calculated at the checkout.
International orders:
Customs clearances can add to delivery times and are beyond the Memorial's control. Any fees, tariffs, or duties associated with international delivery are the responsibility of the customer.
DELIVERY
Timeframes:
Once your order has been processed (see “Order Processing” section above for further details), it will be dispatched for delivery via the postal network.
Delivery timeframes will vary and are dependent on the following factors:
- destination;
- delivery method (e.g. standard or express post).

Order tracking:
Once your order has been dispatched, you will be notified by the Memorial Shop. You may also receive notification/s separately from the shipping provider, which may include a tracking reference number.

Note: The Memorial Shop is not liable for any missing or damaged products and are unable to provide a refund for items mishandled during delivery.

SHOP ORDERS
Items purchased from the Memorial Shop (online and in-store) are considered to be firm sale. Please choose your purchases carefully, and check your order details before making payment.
Returns will not be accepted for change of mind. Refund or exchange will be granted for faulty items, in line with your consumer rights. Note: postage charges will not be refunded.
Items must be received back at the Australian War Memorial in original condition for a full refund of the original purchase price. Items not in original condition will incur a surcharge of 50% of the original purchase price plus return postage.

Refunds for reproduction collection orders (image, film, sound) will be at the discretion of the Memorial Shop.
