This figurine, named "Frank", depicts an Australian soldier during the early years of the Vietnam War, c1966.

The soldier's equipment is a mixture of US-made M56 and Australian pattern 1908 and pattern 1937 webbing components. He also carries the early issue Australian-made L1A1 (SLR) rifle and two hundred rounds of ammunition for his section gunner's GPMG M60 machine gun, protected in sleeves made from sections of an inflatable mattress.
