From 6 Tropical Trials Unit to Vietnam – An APC for Australia documents the untold story of Australia’s Armoured Personnel Carrier (APC) and the men who trialled them in 1964 in Innisfail, Queensland. These trials saw the introduction of the M113A1 APC into Australia’s Army. This vehicle was used extensively in the Vietnam War and subsequent variants saw over 55 years of operational service.

This 42-minute documentary offers an insight into how these men fitted in with the local community, set about doing their jobs, and in some cases met their wives.
