To commemorate the deeds and sacrifices of all animals in war, the Australian War Animal Memorial Organisation (AWAMO) has issued a purple poppy as a reminder that many animals continue to serve.

AWAMO is a not for profit organisation run by volunteers who are dedicated to ensuring these animals are remembered. This is done by erecting plaques, memorials and statues. They also ensure that retired animals are not forgotten. Support is offered for ongoing care and vet bills as well as help in dealing with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) in these animals.

The lapel pin is made from a silvertone metal, with a purple and red poppy side-by-side, resting atop a stylised black ribbon which is embossed with the words "We serve together". The pin attaches to your lapel with a magnet.

Care instructions: Wipe clean with damp cloth.
