Lapel pin: Long Tan Cross
Made in commemoration of the Battle of Long Tan, this lapel pin depicts the Long Tan Cross, which was erected at the site of the battle on 18 August 1966. The cross bar features a ribbon design, drawn from the medals awarded to those who served in Vietnam (namely the Australian Active Service Medal 1945-75, the Vietnam Medal, the Australian Defence Medal, and the Vietnamese Campaign Medal).
The pin is made in a gold-tone metal with coloured enamel highlights, and has a butterfly pin fixture on the reverse.
